Hello, I work as an instructor at Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Communication. I deliver courses about digital media, advertisement, design, user experience, computational design, and user behavior.
My research broadly focuses on understanding existing and emerging technologies through a multidisciplinary and user-centered approach and examining how these developments can enlighten our path for the collective well-being.
Before joining Bahçeşehir University, I spent more than 10 years working in media corporations, publishing agencies, and corporate communications departments. I completed my PhD in Advertisement at the Social Sciences Institute, Bahçeşehir University, and explored the user gratifications of social media advertisements.

This course explores the intersection of art, technology, and creative coding, guiding students to understand digital aesthetics, art history, and generative design through hands-on projects using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AI tools. Students will learn to express ideas through code-based artworks while critically engaging with new media art movements and practices.
This course aims to introduce students to the foundational principles of UX/UI and interaction design, with a focus on creating user-centered digital experiences. Students will learn how to research, plan, and design interfaces using industry-standard tools and AI-supported workflows, such as Cursor and Claude. By the end of the course, they will be able to prototype, test, and iterate interactive solutions that are accessible, visually effective, and responsive across devices.
Computational Research in Communication focuses on collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to extract insights and predict outcomes. You’ll learn key skills like databases, visualization, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and data mining using R and Phyton.
Social Media and News Workshop is a hands-on course where students act as multimedia journalists, producing real-time news content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Through editorial meetings and active reporting, students will learn how to pitch, produce, and optimize digital news stories using creative tools and social media strategies.
This course aims to develop students’ skills in advanced digital media design techniques, focusing on user-centered design, motion graphics, UX/UI principles, and emerging technologies such as generative AI. Students will enhance their technical proficiency in software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Figma while understanding the theoretical foundations of digital media design. By the end of the course, students will be able to conceptualize, create, and evaluate digital products that align with contemporary industry practices.
This course aims to enhance students' skills in advertisement design by integrating advanced digital tools, motion graphics, and generative AI into creative advertising content. The course will emphasize the conceptual, technical, and strategic aspects of advertising design, enabling students to develop visually compelling and strategically effective advertisements. Students will engage in real-world applications, including brand identity, digital advertising campaigns, and AI-enhanced visuals, while learning to think critically about the evolving landscape of advertising design.
